Mike Hazen & American Tool Repair

I began repairing power tools and equipment in the early 90’s for Makita and eventually managed their Factory Service Center in Sacramento.

In the late 90’s I left Makita and went to work for a construction supply company called Happy Fasteners in Rocklin. I continued to repair tools and equipment including managing inside sales.

In 2000 I went to work for a large wood framing subcontractor as a safety manager/tool mechanic.

I founded American Tool Repair in 2002 as a home-based business with the objective of some day opening a repair shop in

the Rocklin area. It took 8 years and I had to get laid-off from my core job, but in the spring of 2010, I finally took the plunge and leased a building with a store front.

Over the last twenty years I have earned a solid reputation for being fair and honest and have built lasting relationships with countless customers. I pride myself on doing what I say and following through.

Sometimes tools wear out and it is not economical to repair them – If this happens I will do my best to offer an explanation and offer advice so the next tool that you purchase holds-up.

My goal is to ensure that everyone who leaves my shop is pleased with my work and tells their friends and co-workers about me and my shop.
